The following themes have been agreed by the organizers and Imago Mundi Ltd.:

3. Innovation and Tradition in Enlightenment Cartography

4. Mapping the Sacred

5. and any aspects of the history of cartography

In 2011 we celebrate the 300th anniversary of the great Russian
scientist Mikhail Lomonosov (1711-1765). As head of the Geographical
Department of the Academy of Sciencies he contributed significantly to
the development of Russian cartography. It would be appropriate for
there to be a paper session on issues relating to his cartographic
achievements.

Papers on Russian topics, in any of the five themes, will be welcomed by the Programme Committee.
